Backrooms (2026) Drinking Game

Drink Every Time:
  • These words "Rooms", "Copy", or "Async" are said
  • The camera shifts to a distorted, found-footage style handycam perspective or a fish-eye lens.
  • You hear the distinct, oppressive hum of flickering fluorescent lights or notice a stark yellowish tint over the screen.
  • Clark pours himself a drink or brings up his failing furniture business, Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire.
  • Mary (the therapist) references her own childhood trauma, her agoraphobic mother, or her self-help audio tapes.
  • An Async Research Institute scientist is seen staring blankly at a surveillance monitor or wearing a hazmat suit.
  • A character stumbles across a piece of deeply wrong, malformed furniture or hits a surreal dead end (like the infinite pool room).
  • A "Still Life" entity—one of the Backrooms' creepy, unresponsive human imitations—stares impassively at a character.

Finish Your Drink:
  • The group enters a steeply sloped corridor
  • Down the rest of your drink as the credits roll to toast the ultimate, tragic loss of reality
