Drink every time:

• You hear the monkey start to drum (cymbals)
• Someone winds the toy monkey’s key
• A gruesome or surprising death occurs
• A flashback to the childhood of Hal & Bill
• Someone says “monkey” or “toy” in a serious tone
• The brothers argue about fate, guilt, or responsibility
• You see a reflection / mirror / glass shot with the monkey visible
• A character tries to destroy or dispose of the monkey
• The movie jumps in time (cut from past → present)
• Someone mentions family, heritage, or legacy

Finish your drink when:

• The monkey returns in the present day and first causes a death in the modern timeline (i.e. after the time skip)
• The climax where the monkey’s curse is confronted
